This day was particularly special. Taking photos of Jonathan and Bryanna was a joy in and of itself, but the chance to stand beside my cousin as he married the love of his life was a highlight of my existence. Jonathan has been one of my best friends since birth. We've shared in more adventures then I can remember, and I don't mean that flippantly. I mean real, crazycrazy adventures that you tell your grandkids about (and don't tell your parents about). Jon has played a crucial part in who I am today as a man, a Christ follower, and a creative.
The morning of the wedding, Jonathan and I were walking around downtown Walnut Creek, getting coffee and trying to find some last minute pants for my groomsman outfit. We couldn't wrap our minds around the fact that he was about to be a husband. Probably because hanging out has traditionally brought out the 9 year olds in us. But it put our lifelong friendship into perspective (See below)
All that to say, it was surreal to witness my brotha smiling wide and speaking his poetic vows in front of friends and family. It was surreal to listen to his beautiful bride do the same. And just how I will always remember the stories we've made on road trips, trespasses, and sleepovers, I will always remember the day Jonathan Reed got married. Here is a glimpse of that day.
